张泗端,号端石,中共党员,1953年生。当过知青、工人,戎马半生。毕业于解放军政治学院,首都师范大学书法研究生课程班。现为国家民族画院、中国书画院院聘书法家;中国楹联学会会员;中国民族建筑研究会书会艺术委员会客坐教授。经故宫博物院书画鉴定专家鉴定的我国当代最具收藏价值艺术家。

书法创新是一篇很大的文章。以一篇短文来阐述,只能提纲挈领。我个人的体会是,要重传统。这是创新之基。中国的书法是古老的,有三千多年的历史;中国的书法是特有的,世界上其他民族没有这门艺术。这就使中国的书法有一个质的规定性:用特有的工具纸墨笔砚,写中国的汉字。当然,这里所说的汉字可以是真草隶篆任何一种书体。以汉字为书写对象的书法,有笔法,字法,章法,墨法这样至少四个方面的规则。四个方面的规则以外,尚有印法(怎么钦印),裱法(怎样装裱)等法可依。对这些规则的不同把握,形成不同风格、不同品位、不同审美价值取向的书法作品。

狭义地说,重传统,就是要重视这些最基本的在书法技法表现方面、在形式展示方面的传统。在优秀的书家看来,在他要创作的每幅作品中,几乎每个汉字都有一个从艺术角度来讲的、最佳的表现姿态,这个字,在他心中,当他书写的时候,一笔下去就能准确地表现出来,这就是工夫,这就是传统功力。达到和养成这种功力,需要训练,其中最根本,最重要的继承方式是临帖。就技术层面来说,书法家水平的不同,往往就是这样的功夫的深浅的不同。

要随时代。这是创新之的。唐代书法家、书法理论家孙过庭的《书谱》有一段话:"质以代兴,妍因俗易,驰鹜沿革,物理常然。"简而言之,就是笔墨当随时代。我们处在实现伟大民族复兴的中国梦这样一个重要历史时期,讲创新,就是要在继承书法传统的基础上,在艺术上有新意,内容上日日新。围绕实现中国梦的所思、所想,所感、所悟来创新。近几年,我创作的一些书法作品,如榜书"实干兴邦"、草书"岳阳楼记名句"、行楷对联"壮志凌云中国梦,宵衣旰食公仆心","无畏官清缘禄减,不难民静爱山高"、"充海阔天高之量,养先忧后乐之心"等作品,都是创作反映时代需要的作品的尝试。
