曹世俊,字明斋,号鹿跑山人斋号鹿跑草堂。1942年生于山东淄博一个农民家庭,受父亲影响自幼酷爱书法。先后学习过欧柳颜赵,二王等书体。

在几十年的书法创作过程中,曹世俊一直是自学,基本上没拜访过老师或受过培训。他一直秉承“外师造化,中得心源”一直默默地面壁临池,孤独地与笔墨相伴,把工作之余自己能够支配的那点时间,大部分都许给了书法艺术。1995年他自费订阅《中国书法报》以后,认真学习眼界渐宽,书法艺术有了质的飞跃。他知道,艺术之旅,就是一条无尽之路、一座无巅之山,他无怨无悔,把对书法艺术的追求作为自己人生中不可或缺的部分苦苦求索,孜孜不倦,契而不舍。他临帖摹碑,广涉博取,兼收并蓄,将书法艺术“骨肉神韵气情”融会贯通,逐渐形成自己独特的风格。曹世俊先生的更可贵之处,还在于他的心态异常平和。“处人以不即不之法,居心于有意无意之间”是他做人做事的信条。积数十年艺途磨砺之所悟,他认为,对于搞艺术的人来说,契而不舍的精神固然重要,而“不为浮躁所动,不为金钱所惑,不为名利所累”的心态却更为重要。
During the decades of calligraphy creation, Cao Shijun has been self-taught, and basically never visited teachers or received training. He has been adhering to the principle of "learning from the outside, learning from the inside", always facing the pool silently, accompanied by pen and ink alone, and gave most of the time he could control after work to calligraphy art. Since he subscribed to China Calligraphy Newspaper at his own expense in 1995, he has gradually broadened his horizons and made a qualitative leap in calligraphy art. He knows that the journey of art is an endless road and a mountain without a top. He has no regrets and takes the pursuit of calligraphy art as an indispensable part of his life. He copied the stele, extensively learned and eclectically integrated calligraphy art, and gradually formed his own unique style. What is more valuable about Mr. Cao Shijun lies in his abnormal peace of mind. It is his creed to behave and do things, that is, "treat people with the method of not being or not, and focus on intentional or unintentional". After decades of experience in art, he believes that for those who engage in art, the spirit of giving up is important, but the mentality of "not being moved by impetuousness, not being confused by money, not being tired of fame and fortune" is even more important.

事实上,曹世俊先生走上书法艺术之路,与爱人的支持是分不开的。两人作为多年的同学,共同的爱好激发了曹世俊的创作激情。这些年,爱人从山耐退休后,陪着曹世俊上张店、下桓台、去周村,闯临淄,从摆地摊做起,让自己的书法艺术逐步得到了社会和大众的认可,一直到去年5月份曹老终于有了自己的书画工作室,结束了那一段近似漂泊流浪的生活,每每想起那一段时间吃过的苦受过的累,曹老对爱人的感激之情溢于言表……
