关永华,男,1949年一月生于桂林,现为中国工美行业艺术大师,中国手工艺大师(一级),国家高级工艺美术师,广西工艺美术协会、桂林市工艺美术协会名誉理事长,桂林市中华文化促进会副主席,桂林市企业界书画家协会副主席,广西岭南南社、桂林市经济学会、桂林市女画家协会顾问,多所院校客座教授,中国书画百杰。
关永华先生在六十年的艺术生涯中,不断探索创新,巧妙融合传统工艺美术与现代绘画技法。他的作品题材广泛,涵盖山水、花鸟、人物等领域,每一幅作品都流露出他对生活的深沉热爱和对艺术的执着追求。30多年来,他绘制的礼品画300余幅,被各级政府作为礼物赠予多国政要、社会名流、著名企业以及联合国等国际机构。他还出版过个人专集4部,发表作品和论文百余篇,40多件作品由国家级和省、市级10多家博物馆收藏。作品多次获国家级、省市级专业展会大奖。获《中国工艺美术全集广西卷》编审先进个人,获广西工艺美术行业特别成就奖等。4次接受中央电视台采访。
关永华,1964年考入桂林市工艺美术学校,师从覃绍殷、李培庚、黄君度、彭忠定等,1967年毕业。1969年应征入伍,在空军部队服役18年。在部队期间,独自编绘完成《连队美术参考资料》,发行5万册至连队。获全军最佳美工奖,空军佈展第一名,立三等功三次。创作《地勒生活剪纸组画》,30多个刋物转载。创作套色木刻《长空铁拳》,获空军美展金奖。
1988年转业至桂林市工艺美术研究所,任书记、所长25年,成功研制和式屏风,并生产数十个规格品种出口日本,为宾馆、饭店和公司单位绘制壁画60余幅。为桂林山水节设计制作竹排和游船花灯百余尊,为两江国际机场通航庆典会场设计制作3米8特大绣球8个,并为机场绘制180X580厘米国画《一湾漓水绿万点桂山青》。大型刻瓷肖像《十大元帅》(与牟荣合作)由军博收藏。为全国第十三届荷展设计制作景点60余个。参与创办"漓江绘画论坛",全国作品巡展40佘次;参与李培庚作品捐赠及出版《李培庚桂林山水油画及其艺术》的具体工作;创意设计梅瓶三花酒的包装(2000年投放市场)。
2008年创办桂林市工艺美术协会(广西首家市级工美协会),并成立党支部,任理事长10年。2012年 出任“首届广西工艺美术作品展”暨广西工艺美术大师精品展主任评委,并获广西工艺美术行业特别成就奖。
2013年 参加了《广西壮族自治区传统工艺美术保护办法(100号令)》论证修订工作。
2017年 清华美院文创工艺高级研修班结业。任广西工艺美术协会理事长。
2018年 任广西第八届铜鼓奖评委。参加福建建瓯市《中国根雕之都》国家级称号的复审。
2022年 主持文促会举办“万年智慧杯”陶艺邀请展,展出中国四大名陶,广西和桂林知名窑口,中国和广西大师作品共800余件,并召开了桂林万年陶研讨会,全国考古界、经济界和院校数十名专家学者参加,达成桂林是陶源之一的“桂林共识”。
2023年主持文促会举办“万年智慧杯”陶艺作品设计大赛,重点推出米粉碗、油茶碗酒瓶等实用器的设计,桂林各窑口、工作室和院校参赛作品共700余件,对宏扬万年智慧发展桂陶产业起到了积极的推动作用。
“丹青不知老将至”,不觉这行一干已滿一甲子。一个人一辈子,能做好一件事亦足矣,只要利人利己利社会,还应力所能及扎扎实实干到底。
Guan Yonghua, male, was born in January 1949 in Guilin. He is currently a Chinese Arts and Crafts Master in the industrial arts sector, a National First-Class Handicraft Master, a National Senior Craft Artist, Honorary Chairman of the Guangxi Arts and Crafts Association and Guilin Arts and Crafts Association, Vice Chairman of the Guilin Chinese Culture Promotion Association, Vice Chairman of the Guilin Business Circle Calligraphy and Painting Association, Consultant to the Lingnan Nanshe of Guangxi, the Guilin Economic Society, and the Guilin Women Painters' Association, as well as a guest professor at multiple universities. He is also recognized as one of China's top 100 calligraphers and painters.
In his 60-year artistic career, Mr. Guan Yonghua has continuously explored and innovated, skillfully blending traditional arts and crafts with modern painting techniques. His works cover a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, flowers, birds, and portraits. Each piece expresses his deep love for life and his persistent pursuit of art. Over the past 30 years, he has created more than 300 gift paintings, which have been presented by various government levels as gifts to national leaders, social elites, prominent businesses, and international organizations such as the United Nations. He has published four personal collections, authored and published over a hundred works and papers, and more than 40 of his works are collected by over 10 national and provincial museums. His works have won numerous awards at national and provincial professional exhibitions. He has been recognized as an outstanding individual in the editing of the "Complete Works of Chinese Arts and Crafts—Guangxi Volume" and has received the Special Achievement Award in the Guangxi Arts and Crafts Industry, among other honors. He has been interviewed by China Central Television (CCTV) four times.
Guan Yonghua entered the Guilin Arts and Crafts School in 1964, where he studied under masters such as Qin Shaoyin, Li Peigeng, Huang Jundu, and Peng Zhongding, graduating in 1967. In 1969, he enlisted in the military and served for 18 years in the Air Force. During his service, he independently compiled and illustrated the "Art Reference Material for the Unit," distributing 50,000 copies to military units. He won the Best Graphic Artist Award in the military, first place in the Air Force exhibition, and was awarded third-class merit three times. He created the "Di Le Life Paper-cut Series," which was reproduced in more than 30 publications. He also created a multicolor woodcut called "Iron Fist in the Sky," which won a gold medal at the Air Force Art Exhibition.
In 1988, he transferred to the Guilin Arts and Crafts Research Institute, where he served as Party Secretary and Director for 25 years. He successfully developed and produced Japanese-style folding screens, and produced dozens of models for export to Japan. He painted over 60 murals for hotels, restaurants, and corporate entities. He designed and created over 100 bamboo raft and boat lanterns for the Guilin Landscape Festival and designed and created eight large 3.8-meter embroidered balls for the opening ceremony of the Liangjiang International Airport. Additionally, he painted a large 180x580 cm Chinese painting titled "One Bay of Li River, Green and Guilin Mountains." His large-scale porcelain portrait of the "Ten Great Marshals" (created in collaboration with Mou Rong) is now collected by the Military Museum. He designed and created over 60 scenic spots for the 13th National Lotus Exhibition.
He was involved in the founding of the "Li River Painting Forum," which has held more than 40 national touring exhibitions. He also contributed to the donation of Li Peigeng’s artworks and the publication of the book "Li Peigeng's Guilin Landscape Oil Paintings and Their Art." Additionally, he creatively designed the packaging for "Meiping Three-Flower Liquor," which was launched in 2000.
In 2008, he founded the Guilin Arts and Crafts Association, the first municipal arts and crafts association in Guangxi, and established a Party branch within the association. He served as Chairman for 10 years. In 2012, he became the Chief Judge for the "First Guangxi Arts and Crafts Exhibition" and the "Exhibition of Masterpieces by Guangxi Arts and Crafts Masters," and he was awarded the Special Achievement Award in the Guangxi Arts and Crafts Industry.
In 2013, he participated in the revision and evaluation of the "Regulations for the Protection of Traditional Arts and Crafts in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (Order No. 100)." In 2018, he served as a judge for the 8th Copper Drum Awards in Guangxi. He also participated in the review process for the national-level recognition of Jian'ou City in Fujian as "The Capital of Chinese Root Carving."
In 2021, he was awarded the title of Advanced Individual in the editing of the "Complete Works of Chinese Arts and Crafts—Guangxi Volume." In 2022, he hosted the "Wannian Wisdom Cup" Ceramic Invitational Exhibition, showcasing over 800 works from China’s four major ceramic traditions, well-known
kilns in Guangxi and Guilin, and masterpieces by artists from China and Guangxi. He also chaired the Guilin Wannian Ceramic Symposium, attended by dozens of experts and scholars from the fields of archaeology, economics, and academia. The symposium reached the "Guilin Consensus," recognizing Guilin as one of the origins of ceramics.
In 2023, he chaired the "Wannian Wisdom Cup" Ceramic Art Design Competition, focusing on the design of practical items such as rice noodle bowls, oil tea bowls, and wine bottles. Over 700 entries from various kilns, workshops, and universities in Guilin were submitted, contributing to the promotion and development of the ceramic industry in Guilin.
"Painting does not know when the old age arrives," and without realizing it, I have been in this profession for 60 years. A person’s lifetime may only be able to accomplish one thing, but as long as it benefits others, oneself, and society, one should always strive to do it thoroughly and to the best of their ability.
